FAQ'S
No Engagement rings make up a large part of my work, but the bespoke process applies to all jewellery. I also design wedding bands, remodel existing pieces, and create one-off commissions beyond engagement rings. Engagement rings are simply the most visible commissions.
There's a common assumption that bespoke jewellery is more expensive than off-the-shelf or high street engagement rings. I work independently from a private workshop, therefore there are no showroom costs, sales staff, or excess stock built into the price.
In practice pricing depends on the design, materials and stones chosen. Many bespoke engagement rings are therefore comparable in cost — if not less expensive — than equivalent ready-made pieces. There is no minimum budget requirement and a clear estimate of cost is provided early in the process.
Yes. Many clients start with only a loose idea rather than a finished design. Part of my role is to guide you through proportions, materials, stones, and practical considerations so the final piece feels considered and personal.
Bespoke jewellery is designed and made from scratch for you. Nothing is taken from a catalogue and nothing is mass produced. Each piece begins with a consultation, followed by stone sourcing, design development, and handmaking in my private workshop.
Most bespoke engagement rings take between 5-7 weeks from the initial consultation to completion. Timelines can vary depending on stone availability, design complexity, and current workload.
I work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds, as well as coloured gemstones. The right choice depends on your priorities, budget, and the design itself. I explain the differences clearly so you can make an informed decision.
Yes. Stone sourcing is a key part of the bespoke process. I work with trusted suppliers and select stones based on quality, character, and suitability for the design.
Yes. I regularly remodel heirloom and existing jewellery into new bespoke pieces. This can include reusing stones or metal while creating an entirely new design.
Yes. Many of my clients are based internationally. Consultations, design approvals, and updates can all be handled remotely, with finished pieces shipped securely worldwide.
